A Guide to Visiting the Burj Khalifa
Burj Khalifa
One of the most popular tourist attractions in Dubai is the Burj Khalifa.
Standing at 829.8 m (2,722 ft), it is the tallest structure and building.
Tickets
To visit the Burj Khalifa, you can buy tickets online from At the Top or Groupon (if available).
We bought our tickets from Groupon. The tickets were fast-track tickets for levels 124 and 125. Included with entry was also a beverage and snack from Cafe Treat.
The price for the two tickets was 198 AED ($54).
Burj Khalifa Elevator Ride
To get to the top of the Burj Khalifa, we rode one of the fastest elevators in the world. The elevator goes up to the 124th floor in only one minute at a speed of 22 mph or 10 m per second.
The elevator ride is such a unique experience.
After our fast elevator ride, we made it to the 124th floor.

The views At the Top were extraordinary!
There are advanced telescopes on the observation deck that you can use to get zoomed-in views of Dubai.
Dubai Fountain
We had a perfect view of the Dubai Fountain Show from the observation deck.
At over 900 feet in length, the Dubai Fountain is the world’s tallest performing fountain.
Fountain shows occur every day starting from 6 pm. Shows happen every 30 minutes.
We highly recommend visiting the Burj Khalifa about an hour before sunset to see daytime views, sunset views, and nighttime views.
From the observation deck, we could see the enormous Dubai Mall.
There is even a mailbox at the top where you can send postcards from the tallest building in the world.
Dubai Fountain Boardwalk
After we visited the Burj Khalifa, we went to the Dubai Fountain Boardwalk to get up-close views of the fountain show.
The Fountain Show is free to watch from viewing points around the lake. If you want closer views of the fountain show, you can purchase a Dubai Fountain Boardwalk ticket. The boardwalk gets you 9m away from the fountains.

We bought our Dubai Fountain Boardwalk tickets from Groupon.
The price was 30 AED ($8) for two tickets.
The beautifully choreographed show was a perfect ending to an incredible day in Dubai.
