Camera Bags

What is the best travel camera bag?

We will start by explaining the camera bags that we use. We both use WANDRD camera bags and love them! If you’re looking for the perfect camera bag, look no further.

Ali uses the WANDRD PRVKE Travel and Camera Backpack.

Here is why Ali loves this camera bag.

-It has three access points which make accessing the camera easy.

-The zippers are at the back, which is a great safety feature.

-There is a secure passport pocket for storing items such as a wallet, phone, and documents.

-The roll-top allows the bag to expand, creating more room.

-Everything is easily organized inside the bag with the removable camera cubes.

Holly uses the WANDRD Hexad Duffel Backpack

Here is why Holly loves this camera bag.

-It has dual side access for removing and storing the camera.

-The bag opens up down the middle for lay flat packing. A problem with traditional backpacks is that there is no access to the internal compartments of the bag.

-The padded laptop sleeve makes storing and accessing the laptop a breeze.

-It is weather-resistant and durable.

-Everything is easily organized inside the bag with the removable camera cubes.

We both agree that our backpacks are super functional because they make organization easy. They are also durable and weather resistant. Both camera bags are also carry-on sized for airplane travel.

In addition to the camera bags, we also purchased the WANDRD camera cubes. The camera cubes are adjustable, so storing cameras and lenses is safe and easy. The cubes fit perfectly into the camera bags. They are also able to be removed from the bags as well.

Cameras

What is the best travel vlogging camera?

We use two cameras to make our travel vlogs. Both of our cameras are Canon.

We have the Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS RP.

Our primary vlogging camera is the Canon EOS R5. We recently upgraded to this camera and we have been satisfied with it.

Here are the reasons we like and recommend the Canon EOS R5.

-The image stabilization is good with this camera.

-The video and image quality is phenomenal.

-The autofocus is almost perfect. We have never seen it go out of focus.

-It is an overall perfect vlogging camera, and we are so happy that we upgraded to it.

The second camera that we use is the Canon EOS RP.

This camera was our original vlogging camera when we started making travel vlogs in 2020. It has been a great camera, but we needed to upgrade because we needed better image stabilization.

Here are the reasons we like and recommend the Canon EOS RP.

-It is an excellent camera for beginners.

-The camera has a full-frame sensor, a rare feature for a camera in its price range.

-It is compatible with the new RF range.

We recommend buying extra batteries for this camera because the battery life is not the greatest.

Is an iPhone useful for travel vlogging?

In addition to our two Canon cameras, we also recently started filming with an iPhone.

The phone we use is the Apple iPhone 13 Pro.

The iPhone 13 Pro has been a great addition to our camera gear because it is compact and easy to carry. The photo and video quality on the phone are also spectacular.

Drones

What drone do we use?

Drones are must-haves for travel vlogging. They capture great shots of the surrounding scenery.

The drone that we use is the DJI Mavic Air.

Here are the reasons we like and recommend this drone.

-It is foldable, so it easily fits inside of our camera bag.

-The DJI Mavic Air is also lightweight.

-The drone has superb flight performance.

-The footage that it captures is of fantastic quality.

GoPro

How do we film action videos?

Sometimes we are in situations where we cannot bring our vlogging camera.

In these situations, we use our GoPro HERO7.

Here are the reasons we like and recommend GoPro.

-It has excellent video stabilization.

-The GoPro is waterproof, so it is exceptional for filming water activities and sports videos.

-Due to its small size, there are several mounts for the GoPro so we can get great action shots.

Lenses

What lenses do we use with our Canon EOS cameras?

At one point, we had an entire bag filled with various lenses. We have since narrowed down our lenses to three. We have a range of 15-200mm with our three lenses. This is perfect for getting distance shots as well as close-up shots.

The three lenses we use are the Canon RF 15-35mmCanon RF 24-105mm, and Canon RF 70-200mm.

The Canon RF 15-35mm lens is our primary vlogging lens. We use it for the majority of shots while out filming. It is perfect for vlogging because of its wide-angle.

The Canon RF 24-105mm lens is versatile. It can be used for vlogging and taking zoomed-in B roll shots. This is because of its wide focal length. This was our primary vlogging lens until we got the Canon RF 15-35mm lens.

The Canon RF 70-200mm lens is our newest addition. We needed a telephoto zoom lens, and this one is just what we needed. The lens is travel friendly because of its compact size.
